On the road to recovery

I went back to the doctor today. They took out the stitches and also took X-rays. The doc says my feet look really good. I think they look horrible! He said that I can start walking on them more and that I need to excercise my toes. I'm scared...cuz it hurts to wiggle them!

I went to Wal-Mart right after the doctor's appointment and was so tempted to drive the little electric buggy...but I chickened out. At home I've been using a walker to get around because it's much easier than the crutches. But I even chickened out from using that to go to the doctor's office because of the stigma that they are for old people (no offense to any old people reading this). So I used the crutches instead. I wish I had a little bit more of the "I-don't-care-what-people-think" attitude. Oh well, I survived my first public outing.

I thought about it and...I guess I'll post a picture of my feet. I'm sure you are just dying to see what they look like.

Wow...letting a stigma stop you from joy riding on the cart?!? I've tried thinking up ways to get my hands on one of those babies, and you -- you had it MADE! A REAL reason, not some crazy lame story having to do w/a really bad toe cramp...

Your feet look disgusting. I'm surprised you posted a pictures. Regardless! I'm glad you're doing better. I'm with you, I wouldn't ride a motorized cart either.

T: Sorry to have let you down, Tiff. I kind of let myself down too. When I got in the store I was rethinking the idea and then I saw a huge lady on one and decided against it.

S: I know don't they! I'm surprised I posted it too. I put this picture up because my feet weren't as swollen as they were when I first went to the doctor. I will never post THOSE pictures. (*almost faints at the thought of it*)

P.S. Sam - I think what is more disgusting than the incisions and swelling is that the iodine dyed my toes and nails orange. YUCK! I asked the doctor how to get it out and he just said continual washing. Grrr!
